For the students who are looking forward to be a part of the Symbiosis Center for Information Technology, the SET or the Symbiosis Entrance Test is the gateway. The students choose the SET General if they are not interested in taking admission to the Symbiosis Center for Design. Online registration for the entrance test is an added benefit for the Symbiosis aspirants.

Total Marks - 150

Reservation

• Scheduled Caste: 15% of intake capacity
• Scheduled Tribe: 7.5% of intake capacity
• Physically Handicapped: 3% of intake capacity
• Sponsored: 15% of intake capacity. Includes the candidates sponsored by the industry and management.

Date of Examination

The entrance examination generally takes place every year in the month of May

Watch Out!

• As there are no duplicate admit cards for SET, the students should be extremely careful while carrying it. Loss of admit card will result in direct cancellation of application.
• Another point which should be kept in mind is that the students should ensure that either the demand draft with Payment Advice Form or the challan for the payment in Axis Bank reaches the Symbiosis Test Secretariat by the required date

Admission and Eligibility Criteria

A graduate from any statutory University with minimum 50% of marks is eligible. For the Software Development and Management specialization or the Networks & IT Infrastructure specialization, preference will be given to graduates with Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology or Electronics and relevant work experience. For other specializations the basic understanding and exposure to usage of IT is essential.
