Symbiosis Department of Health Sciences (SDHS)

The Symbiosis Department of Health Sciences (SDHS) is a constituent unit of Symbiosis International Education Centre (SIEC), a deemed university under UGC act. SDHS’s vision is to become an internationally renowned institute that would offer contemporary, need-based academic programs suited to the ever changing & ever expanding horizon of the health care sector.

The institute offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of medical and paramedical sciences. These professional up-gradation programs are meant to equip the healthcare professional with the appropriate tools in order to survive this age of competition and specialization. SDHS always impose the same thought of “symbiosis” (mutual relationship) in the minds of all individuals, related to the institution.

The institute has signed memorandum of understanding (MoUs) with the Maharashtra Medical Foundation (MMF) & Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital & Research Center (DMH), Pune to provide the necessary “hands on” clinical & para clinical experience necessary for the students pursuing these hospitals based academic programs. The institute is continuously trying to achieve all possible success within the vast arena of healthcare education.

Undergraduate Programs

Course: B.Sc. in Imaging Sciences
Eligibility: Std. 12th

Course: B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology
Eligibility: Std. 12th

Postgraduate Programs (1 year, postgraduate diploma programs)

Course: Post Graduate Diploma in Imaging Sciences (PGDIS)
Eligibility: B.Sc. Physics/ Chemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Microbiology with minimum 50 % marks.
Duration: 1 year full time on campus

Course: Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (PGDMLT)
Eligibility: B.Sc. Physics/ Chemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Microbiology with minimum 50 % marks.
Duration: 1 year full time on campus

Course: Post Graduate Diploma in Fitness Management
Eligibility: Graduate from any stream with minimum 50 % marks
Duration: 1 year full time on campus

Course: Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Medical Services (1 Year, weekend, part-time program)
Eligibility: 6 Months (Sat. 1 to 7 p.m. & Sun. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)  + 3 months Practical + 3 months Internship
Duration: Registered Medical Practitioners (MBBS/ BHMS/ BAMS/ BUMS), BSc Nursing.
